Exchange-traded funds have exploded in popularity in the last two years, in particular, following interest rate cuts by the Fed in 2019. The market also hit $5 AUM in late 2020, following the passing of the SEC’s ETF Rule that same year. Dave Nadig and Matt Hougan predict that by 2030, the U.S. ETF market will hit US$25 trillion in assets under management.
Asset managers are having an increasingly difficult time avoiding ETFs, and as Anita Rausch of WisdomTree discuses above, and Rick Ferri of Ferri Investment Solutions below, it’s never been easier for individual investors to go directly to the ETF marketplace.
