Obongjayar: Message In A Hammer
Nigerian-born, London-based artist Obongjayar has released a series of singles and EP’s over the last two years including recent collaborations with Sarz, Little Simz, and Pa Salieu ratcheting up the intrigue and expectations for a debut album. This week he confirmed a full length with a release date and title TBA. The first single “Message In A Hammer” is out now, and it’s a killer mix of Afrobeat, soul, and jittery electronics, with Obongjayar’s unique vocal stylings sitting on top of the ride.
