One question that consistently gets brought up around investing in space is why, if there are so many problems on Earth with the effects of global warming, should we invest in space?

The answer, as Procure ETFs Andrew Chanin discusses here in our panel “Making Space For Space In Your Portfolio,” from our latest Spark Disruptors Conference, is that space gives us even more information about how to create solutions for the current environmental crises unfolding within this hemisphere.

Issues like lack of fresh food, water, and housing, Chanin argues, are all issues private space exploration, and even colonization, will have to solve as this sector grows. Solving these problems in space, he says, will likely help create solutions for us back on earth as we work to make the planet more sustainable.
