Nic Harcourt has been turning people onto their favorite new bands for most of his career, hosting the iconic Los Angeles KCRW radio show Morning Becomes Eclectic for nearly 10 years, which the New York Times called “appointment radio.” He’s launched the careers of many artists, including Coldplay, Adele, Sigur Ros, Sia and the Arctic Monkeys and countless others. He also hosted the iconic Guitar Center sessions on DirecTV and currently holds down morning drive at 88.5fm out of California State University Northridge.

In other words, when Harcourt tells you these were the best songs of 2020, take note. There are some legends you’ll recognize, some artists you’ll flash black to recalling someone to tell you to listen to at a party (remember parties?) and some newcomers, who you’ll absolutely be hearing more from this year and beyond.

Stay tuned in January for Harcourt’s new 2021 Spark podcast, “The Sound of Success,” in which he interviews business and finance leaders about the bands and music that shaped them.

Now put your 100th play of “All I Want For Christmas Is You” on pause on and get listening to 100 songs that made 2020 a little more bearable.
