Kameron Corvet entered the Atlanta music world as a student at Morehouse College, where he made his way into open mics around the city and started to build a steady following. Since then, he’s collaborated with musicians including Sting, Shaggy, Toni Braxton, Erykah Badu, Angie Stone and Freddie Jackson and has opened for artists including Adele, Ty Dolla $ign and Chaka Khan. (He also teaches the fastest French language courses you’ve ever seen.)

Here, he talks to our Nic Harcourt about the Christmas gift as a child that changed his life, his Grammy-award winning sound, and what’s ahead. At the 4:56 mark, catch Corvet’s performance of his single”Don’t Make Me Wait,” which he penned for Sting and Shaggy’s album 44/876, becoming a hit single for the artists.

At 8:11, Corvet performs “I Miss the Way” at 13:22, you’ll hear “Lead Me to You.”

Kameron Corvet was filmed at Atlanta’s City Winery in the fall of 2020 for the Fintech South conference, with music and food programming produced by Spark network.
